Magical Encounters

I begin writing this entry by letting the words flow through me, with the intention of connecting with you, dear reader. With almost absolute certainty, I can say that this is the first time the title has come to me before the content. And it is thanks to the suggestion of a dear friend that this article begins to unfold. (Thank you!)

Interestingly, at the very moment I was encouraged to write this piece, a series of synchronicities appeared that confirmed the title was the right one.

How often do we manage to perceive these coincidences of events as signs that we are on the right path—or listen to them as guidance for decisions we need to make along the way?

I had the good fortune of knowing and sharing life with a wonderful and wise woman, may she rest in peace, who felt continuous fascination and gratitude for the moments that connected her with different souls and beings. She would often wonder how it was possible that, within time, worlds, and space, two beings could meet and coincide. It comes as no surprise to mention that her favorite song was “Coincidir” (“To Coincide”). And looking back, it’s also no surprise that every day—up to her 94th year—she was surrounded by a beautiful family and meaningful friendships.

To hold these encounters from our center, from gratitude and love, is one of the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves and others. In the practice of everyday life, it is important to share from the heart and embrace these synchronicities that connect you with the here and now—and allow you, like a mirror, to look within.

The magic a magician creates doesn’t come from an extraordinary ability, but from their gift to guide your attention toward the act or performance that awakens wonder within you.

And I have a secret for you: we all have the calling to be magicians—if we allow ourselves to be.
