The Day I Started Loving Myself, Everything Changed

I begin writing this blog post with two purposes: first, to do myself a favor so that in moments of difficulty, I can return to this little post and remind myself of the benefits of reconnecting with love; and secondly, to share this entry with my readers so that they too can find, just like I did, a space to reconnect with themselves through love.

Why? Because sometimes we forget what it means to treat ourselves with love and to move through life from a place of love. And why would I want to turn into a Care Bear? Well, that's exactly why I’m writing this post. What I can promise is that after reading this, you won’t turn into a fluffy stuffed animal. But maybe, with a little luck, you will become a more loving being.

Waking up with vitality, with confidence that everything is okay and that everything is perfect. You realize that your smile doesn’t just appear on your lips, but that you also "smile" with your eyebrows, your spine, your feet, and every part of your body. Just like when you're in love—only this time, you're in love with yourself. You embrace yourself, acknowledge yourself, and appreciate every moment of your life... for the people you have chosen to keep in it. You know that this state of love is the result of a shift in your perspective and a consequence of your actions.

Love is the effect that has arrived since, days, months, or even years ago, you decided to take the first step toward a future where you are the priority and the sole person responsible for your life. And in this new way of moving through life, different from what you were used to, you trusted that, as days passed, every thought and every action shaped the way you perceived the world.

You gradually embraced your ability to transform your reality and to decide, in each and every moment, what you want to feed your mind and heart with. Putting into practice positive thinking and repeatedly listing your areas of abundance has helped you hack your neuroplasticity. You know that it has been your decision to elevate yourself into a higher transformation of your being.

"From the day I started loving myself, my life took on a different rhythm. I trust that if, at some point in the future, I start to doubt again or lose my way, it is through love that I will find my path and my rhythm once more. It won’t be through guilt for having strayed, but through compassion and humility… through the gratitude of knowing that I already know the way, and with certainty, I will find myself again."

By prioritizing the practice of self-love, you discover the foundation for extending that love to others. Moreover, by defining your personal boundaries and loving reasonings, you also begin to build stronger, more solid relationships for the future.

Love is the secret ingredient for achieving sustainable well-being over time.
